October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we believe that it is a great cause to support because it’s something that affects everyone! It doesn’t matter what walk of life you’ve been through, you will know someone that has been affected by the devastating disease. As the second-leading cause of death in the world, we thought we’d do something about it.
Treat your dog to a new bed* and 15% of profits go to Breast Cancer Support, please note that this opportunity is only available throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October 2019). Make sure you share the love, and like our Facebook page and share our posts!
*Please note that the bed purchased has to be the Pink & Grey Cosy Bed, available from Miro & Makauri.
The bed can either be purchased as a wholesale item for your pet business or purchased personally for your own dog, if you are purchasing for yourself please email our friendly team at email@example.com to get more information on how to purchase this product.
Why not raise money for your chosen charity this October? Here’s a few dog-based fundraising ideas to get you motivated to do something today:
A bit like a car wash but you have access to warm water and some pet friendly shampoos! Offer to clean people’s cars and their dogs at the same time. This is a team effort so get as many volunteers as possible to get everyone involved.
Dog Show & Have-A-Go Agility day
Everyone loves a dog show, competing for Handsomest Dog, Waggiest Tail and Best Rescue. Get all sorts of other animal-based companies involved and help raise vital funds for a charity close to everyone’s hearts.
Wear it Pink! Fancy Dress (Dogs & Owners)
Why not have a special Charity day at your local pet shop and get people to wear an assortment or small token of pink to show their support. Offer baked goods and cakes for both humans and pets to get mouths watering, and donate all money raised from the bake sale to charity.
Afternoon Tea – Dogs Welcome and Dog Bakes a necessity
Treat yourself and you canine friends to some delicious baked goods! Create a challenge where everyone must bake a dog friendly treat, and get the dogs to be the strict judges on whose best in show!
Pet Picture Day
Handy with a camera? Why not set up your own photobooth in-store to get some great memorable pictures of customers’ dogs. Charge £5 a dog and get it all-over social media for your chance to raise money and awareness of your store’s passion for all things charity!
If you have a favourite dog park or day-care centre where you tend to see people and their pups why not organise a get together for a Howl-o-ween ball! Get prizes for best dressed owner and dog and create an assortment of games and snacks for everyone to enjoy. Maybe even a little party bag with local pet business information in for everyone to share!
Charity Dog Walk
If fitness is your dog’s kind of thing, why not set a target for your local dog walking group? A charitable dog walk followed by a delicious tea or coffee and cake afterwards is a great way to socialise with other dog owners and raise vital funds for your charity of choice!
We hope these ideas get your creativity flowing and you get the chance to raise lots of money for your chosen charity. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and share our charity campaign! Every Pink & Grey bed counts and will make a big difference to people’s lives throughout the country.
Post pictures of your dogs in our beds on Facebook or send them to us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org – we’d love to see them!
